A local business was broken into on April 24 and cash was stolen. The owners requested that the name and any identifying details about the business not be mentioned. Two males entered the store during the early morning hours and were caught on surveillance cameras going into the business and stealing cash from the register at the front of the store. They then left through the rear entrance.
The lights were off in the store and the quality of the video recording was poor. Based on the videos, one of the burglars appears to be a large white male, 30-40 years old, with partial facial hair and black rimmed glasses. The second male is black, shorter with a thin build and wearing a hooded sweatshirt that partially covered his face.
Detective Steven Rappold, who is investigating the case, has spent time trying to improve the quality of the video with the hope that clearer photos of the burglars would help to identify them. He notes there have been some commercial burglaries in other communities that may have been committed by these suspects.
If anyone has information on the Village burglary on April 24, please contact Detective Rappold of the Gorham Police Dept.
