The U10 All-Star team worked incredibly hard for months to get them to the Regional Competition that concluded last week, after losses to Connecticut and Rhode Island. Anne Schools shared, “ Snug Harbor (on the North Shore of Staten Island, NY) did a great job hosting the tournament.”

A few team highlights include wins against Vermont and Massachusetts. The U10 team finished 3 out of 5 in the New England Region and 5th in the Eastern Region. Connecticut won the New England Region and New Jersey won the Eastern.

Schools added, “Caroline King won the base running competition with the fastest time out of all the athletes from the other teams.” One of the coaches, Julio Santiago reiterated how hard the team has played over the past few months and did such an amazing job representing their community.

A former teacher and Summer Rec camp counselor shared, “this group of kids together are supportive of each other and are such a fun group – I am not surprised they made it this far.”
