Girls Lacrosse: The Gorham Rams Girls Lacrosse fell to the South Portland Riots in the quarter finals round on June 5th with a score of 8-4. Gorham went into the tournament with a record of 4-9 and ranked 5th in A South.

Boys Lacrosse: After just making the playoffs, the 5-7 Rams (#6) upset Massabesic (#3) in their quarterfinals match 14-9. They headed across the bridge to take on the #2 seed, Cape Elizabeth Capers. Ultimately, the Rams fell to the Capers 12-4, ending their season.

Girls Softball: In their quarterfinal against the Massabesic Mustangs (#4), Senior Grace McGouldrick did not make it easy for the Mustangs to score. The Massabesic team took advantage of errors and came up with the 2-1 victory over the Rams (#5).

Girls Tennis: Gorham girls’ tennis ended the regular season 11-1, having earned a bye for the first round of playoffs. Thornton Academy barely took the match ending their playoff run. Coach Bergeron was proud to note, “We had the best regular season record (percentage wise) of ALL of the spring season teams.”

Track: Congratulations to the Gorham athletes who competed at the outdoor track and field New England Championships on June 9 at the University of New Hampshire. Anthony Chase had a PR in the 3200. The girls 4×800 team made up of Anna Slager, Iris Kitchen, Kate Tugman and Meadow Fortier broke the school record yet again. Evelyn Kitchen was just 0.5 inches off her own newly broken school record of 36.06.25 in the triple jump. The previous record was 36 feet 4 inches held by Shannon Houlihan.
