Gorham High School, in collaboration with Gorham Project Graduation, the Gorham Police Department, and the Gorham Fire Department, presented the Senior Convoy to celebrate Gorham’s Class of 2023 on Sunday evening, June 11. “We started the senior parades due to COVID, and have continued to do so, and we need to continue the tradition for the Town of Gorham.” said Natalie Voisine, cheering on senior James Stigman from the corner of Maine Street and Libby Avenue. One of many spectators gathered at every street corner up and down Main Street, Voisine continued, “If you want to retain the small-town goodness, you have to do small-town things.”

Graduates of the Class of 2023 were joined by their families in the motorcade of decorated cars, trucks, and buses. Signs announced each graduate and some vehicles held signs announcing future plans and personal messages of thanks. The convoy followed Route 25, Main Street, from JP Noonan through the Gorham Village, then turned left onto South Street and entered the Gorham High School campus via Morrill Avenue. After arriving at GHS, the students were dropped off for a private celebratory event sponsored by Project Graduation and local businesses and parents.

Hundreds of family and community members lined the route to applaud and cheer the graduates. The smiles of joy and pride were a deserving send-off for the graduates. The Gorham Times would like to congratulate the Gorham High School Class of 2023.
