Mega Industries, located in the Gorham Industrial Park, has recently obtained two new contracts: $5 million from European Spallation Source in Sweden and $2 million from Stanford Linear Accelerator Laboratory in California. The company, founded in 2000, makes high power microwave transmission equipment used for research as well as for commercial uses.

Mega Industries recently expanded its workforce by 20% and expects to further increase it by another 20%. Mega has added a second shift to its production line and is planning to hire both engineers and craftsmen to supplement the 60 employees it currently has.
