On May 13, at about 7:30a.m., Sgt. Nate Therriault was driving northbound on Route 114 as a 2002 Honda Accord, passing a car on a double yellow line on a curve while driving at a high rate of speed and coming into the northbound lane, caused Therriault to swerve and drive off the road in order to avoid a collision. Therriault was able to regain control of the cruiser and turned around to initiate a traffic stop.
The Honda failed to stop and Therriault pursued it but discontinued the chase. He was able to locate the vehicle a short distance away on Milt Brown Road in Standish and the driver was located, arrested, and taken to jail.
Scott Frisco, 28, of Lewiston was charged with reckless conduct, criminal speed, operating without a license, eluding a police officer, leaving the scene of an accident, refusing to submit to arrest and having an outstanding warrant for violating conditions of release. He is being held without bail.
