Branden Kuusela, GHS ‘16 recently graduated from the University of Maine Orono, a Dean’s list student, with a MS in Economics and a BS in Ecology and Environmental Science (concentration in sustainability, environmental policy and natural resource management).

Kuusela’s accolades include several Track and Field accomplishments accompanying his academic achievements. Kuusela was the captain of the Black Bears Track and Field team, making the All-conference team and participating at the New England’s. He finished in the record books as the 3rd all-time fastest UMO 400-meter hurdler.

Kuusela plans to hike the Appalachian Trail this coming July beginning in Maine and ending in Georgia. Congratulations Branden!
