Gorham Schools have long partnered with Junior Achievement to expose students to financial literacy education. On January 13, over 10 volunteers from the community came to Gorham Middle School to hold the 2nd “JA in a Day” event that utilized their “Economics for Success” program.
Students rotated through five engaging activities that taught students about credit, budgeting, insurance, and the importance of planning for their future. This event was held for all students in the 7th-grade class, ensuring that the core financial literacy skills were presented equitably. Aspire Gorham is proud to partner with Junior Achievement to provide students with this key set of future-ready skills.
“I enjoyed learning about real-life things and how to properly spend and save your money,” said one of the student participants.
Thank you to all of the community volunteers who donated their time and expertise to our students.
