Jazzercise classes (a dancing form of exercise) are now available in Gorham. Classes are held every week excluding Wednesdays at one of two locations in Gorham. The business was originally brought to Gorham by Meredith Bullard who moved to Maine 15 years ago from North Carolina, where she first started jazzercise classes in 2007.
Jazzercise is a unique form of exercise which has remained a constant in the industry for decades. Bullard hopes to grow the company and become more involved in the community. Jazzercise being a welcoming community to all, classes see a variety of ages.
Currently, there are two gym locations, 10 Wentworth Drive and 34 School Street, which are leased spaces from Gorham Arts Alliance but there are hopes to one day have a stand-alone gym location.
