The Gorham School Department is proud to announce that Sam Rigby will serve as the new technology director for the Gorham School Department, replacing Dennis Crowe who will be retiring at the end of this year after 20+ years of service to our schools.

Rigby comes to Gorham from Westbrook School Department, where he has served as director of technology and led the Technology Department and technology initiatives for nearly nine years.

Prior to joining WSD, he worked in the technology and foreign language departments with SAU 70 in Hanover, New Hampshire between 2008-2013 with a year in the middle where he worked with the technology staff for a network of schools in Santiago, Chile.

He holds a B.A. in history and education from Bates College, and has completed graduate coursework in the MAT program with a concentration on teaching with technology at Marlboro College.

Sam comes to Gorham with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the area of technology. He has a demonstrated track record of excellence and leadership and is eager to bring his skills to bear in his new role as technology director for the Gorham School Department where he will lead a talented team of network and system administrators and technology integrators in ensuring our district’s technology capabilities remain at the forefront of the field.
