The show, directed and produced by Greg Walton and Tana Krohn, boasts a cast and crew of about 80 students. Based on the 1994 Broadway production and Disney’s 1991 animated feature film, it tells the story of Belle (Sadie Woodman), a curious girl longing for adventure outside her provincial town, and the Beast (Phineas Frasier), a young prince cursed by a spell only love can break. With the help of the castle’s enchanted staff, including a charming candelabra (Zachary Bourgoin as Lumiere) and a nervous mantel clock (Mat Lampron as Cogsworth), Belle and the Beast find a beautiful friendship. Also featuring Alex Turkey as Gaston and other enchanted castle staff played by Luna Buton, Abigail McCrillis, Isla Rutherford, and Quinn middle school students throughout the years,” said Krohn. “This is our largest cast and crew yet. We’re proud of the magic they’re making onstage.”
