Businesses in Gorham are opening, relocating and expanding. Several new businesses have opened or will be opening in town and several more have relocated or changed ownership. You will find some basic information about them while more specific information can be found on their websites. Thank you for your support of local businesses.
ORCHARD RIDGE FARM, located at 236 Sebago Lake Road, changed ownership in August. It is now run by Erica Gottshalk, her sister Kristen Walker and their mother, Mary Walker. The three Maine natives are looking forward to the wonderful opportunity of running a farm and opening up the land. They are adding peaches and raspberries to their crops and developing a fun community space. They will have cross-country ski trails, sledding and will allow snowmobiling this winter.
NO REPEATS FIBERWORKS, located at 2 School Street, is owned by Jo Eaton. Eaton has been crocheting for 50 years and offers crocheted hats for sale. Her hours are on her website and Facebook. She is happy to have found a creative space in the village center.
OTTO PIZZA held a successful soft opening on December 6. The business is located at 109 Main Street. They see Gorham as a great emerging market and look forward to serving the community with both pick up and delivery services.
ON POINT SELF STORAGE recently opened at 531 Main Street. The business is run by the Stinson family, Gorham residents. It has climate controlled units available and 24-hour access. It is also a secure facility, with 24-hour closed circuit surveillance, lighting, and fencing. An interesting side note is that the 1800s barn on the property was donated to the Shaw Brothers. Presently the barn is being restored in Fryeburg and will be reconstructed at Cherry Hill Farm on Main Street.
THE FAMILY CENTER OF MAINE has relocated to 7 Railroad Avenue, Suite 317. This business is a collaborative of providers offering counseling services to children, families, individuals, and couples.
IN HOME SENIOR SERVICES has also relocated to 7 Railroad Avenue. They offer a wide range of caregiving support services which allows people to live independently and safely in their own home.
AZUL TEQUILA, located at 29 School Street, is planning on expanding. They will be moving into the space formerly occupied by The Ghost Kitchen. The larger space, along with a bigger kitchen and full walk-in cooler, will allow them to offer an expanded menu. Expanded bar options will also be available. They will still have the fast lane service selection bar and curbside pickup. They hope to open in the new space sometime in January.
