The transition into spring sports is off and running. All eight teams have had a few games under their belts and are off to a great start for the Rams.

The Softball team returned home from a pre-season trip to Baltimore and Tennessee where they won 5 out of their 7 games. The team kicked off the regular season with a 14-0 win at Massabessic and downed the Portland Bulldogs 9-0 during their first home game. Lily Tukey, and Andi Cloutier each had a pair of hits while Sophia Diphilippo and Sawyer Yonderhaar each had a triple. Amber Bretton allowed one hit and struck out 10. The Girls Lacrosse team is off to a 2-2 start with a recent intense match up v. Windham. The game went back and forth with high scoring action in all 4 quarters. The game was tied up 10-10 after 3 quarters. The Rams lost by one goal in this action-packed complete team effort. The boys team had a solid outing v. the Deering Rams. Tennis teams at Cheverus

The Tennis teams are on the road all season due to unplayable courts at GHS. Many area schools are hosting the Rams, Cheverus being one of the first schools to host both the boys and girls teams. Both the Rams teams are proving well on the road, beating Windham 4-1, 4-1 and improving their records: The Girls are 3-1 and the Boys are 5-0. Coach Landry shared, “We have been practicing on our courts. We are playing all our away matches together with the girls team so they go very long. We are making the most of the situation. The biggest impact has been on the sub varsity group.” Coach added, “we will likely be 7-0 by the end of the first week in May, we are doing quite well so far.”
