The Gorham High School Girls Volleyball team showed their team spirit with a unique cheer at the end of a recent victory over Thornton Academy by forming a team roundup to celebrate. Led by captains Caroline Morrell, Sophia DiPhilippo and Meryk Lewellen, the team served up a 3-0 victory to round up their 3-0 overall season record thus far. As the student section cheered on the lady Rams from the newly renovated stands, equally enthusiastic school spirit chants echoed from the neighboring field.
The Girls Varsity Soccer team, led by captains Faith Connolly, Erin Lawrence, Katie Gooch, Katie Martin and Ali Landry, celebrated their own 8-0 victory over Biddeford.
Home games are often known for such enthusiasm and fun as evidenced by the pajama clad students bonded together in the bleachers in a show of support. Both victories ushered in the new school year’s Open House at Gorham High School that same evening with resounding Ram Pride. As families arrived at the high school that evening to be welcomed by Principal Jaundreau and all other teachers and staff, the bright lights and scoreboard added to the energy and anticipation of a fresh new start to the 2022-2023 school year.
