The Gorham High School (GHS) Class of 1954 held their 70th reunion at the home of Jaime Muehle in North Gorham in late June. In attendance were: Front row L to R: Bernie Muehle, Peter Watson, Jane (Rowe) Carlozzi, Row 2 L to R: Barbara (Beecher) Atkinson, Donna (Wagner) Malagodi, Gene Moulton, Merle (Howard) Jenkins.
This group of life-long friends has enjoyed getting together almost every year for 70 years since their graduation from Gorham High School to reminisce and catch up on family news. Most live locally but several travel from Massachusetts to be together.
Bernard Muehle had a job driving a Gorham school bus his last three years in high school. He still lives in the house he built in 1955 on North Gorham Road.
Peter Watson was a mechanical engineer and currently lives in Westbrook at Stroudwater Lodge.
Jane (Rowe) Carlozzi, loved all her high school friends. She worked in the insurance industry and lives in Scarborough.
Donna (Wagner) Malagodi enjoyed being in chorus taught by Nina Babcock Bailey. She lives in Braintree, MA.
Merle (Howard) Jenkins enjoyed playing girls basketball and softball at GHS and worked as a home health nurse.
Gene Moulton taught math and science, was a textbook editor and an international tour guide who has visited 23 countries and all 7 continents.
Barbara (Beecher) Atkinson enjoyed talking with friends between and after classes. She worked as a comptometer operator.
