A vehicle operated by Vicky Leclerc, 26, of Sebago, went off Fort Hill Road on July 15 at about 1:23 a.m. The vehicle was traveling northbound through a slight curve to the left on Fort Hill Road, and went off the roadway and onto the right shoulder. Leclerc overcorrected to the left, which caused the vehicle to enter into an uncontrollable skid. The vehicle continued in a sideways skid and crossed the center line before going off the left shoulder, colliding with the ditch and the guide wire to a utility pole before coming to a stop.
There was significant damage to the vehicle and damage to the utility pole as well. Fort Hill Road (Rt. 114) between Spiller Road and Dingley Springs Road had to be shut down for several hours due to the damage to the utility pole. Leclerc was transported to Maine Medical Center by Gorham Rescue with non-life threatening injuries.
