Voters living in Gorham’s three wards went to the polls on June 13 to vote on the 2017-2018 School Budget validation, a local referendum question, and a State bond issue.
The 2017-2018 school budget was approved 807 to 256.
Voters passed the local referendum, 861 to 237, authorizing the Town to issue bonds not to exceed $500,000, for Gorham’s share of a State project to make improvements to South Street (Rt. 114).
The State ballot issue which asked voters to approve a 50 million bond for investment in research, development and commercialization to be used for infrastructure, equipment, and technology upgrades passed 724 to 389.
Mark Curtis was elected as a Portland Water District Trustee (uncontested race).
