The Gorham Varsity Rams baseball team, family, and fans spent June 3 at the USM baseball field, where they played two games to claim the Southern Maine Activities Association Championship Title. The late-afternoon 3-0 win over South Portland entertained a relatively small Gorham fanbase competing with one of the first sunny and warm days of the spring. By the fifth inning, one sensed a quiet confidence in the stands, with a State Tournament to look forward to.
