Goalkeeper Carter Landry is Gorham’s first-ever LAX All-American. Landry was a repeat All-Telegram and first-team SMAA pick. His .716 save percentage was better than last year as he made 164 saves with a 4.63 goals-against average. Active outside the crease, he forced 14 turnovers, and had 33 ground balls and an assist. U.S. Lacrosse describes All-Americans as “Players who exhibit superior skills and techniques and possess exceptional game sense and knowledge. They are among the best players in the United States while also embodying excellent sportsmanship.” Landry was also named the Southwestern Maine Activities Association Player of the Year. He will continue his lacrosse career at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania in the fall.
