The Gorham Outdoors Club, partially organized by Jason Tanguay, is launching into its second year of activities. Throughout 2021, many successful events were held, including numerous town cleanups, fire safety demonstrations, physical fitness challenges, and more.

The club is all about providing chances for the community to get out and participate in engaging, safe activities. There’s a large variety of events and truly something for everybody.

Tanguay, Gorham High School teacher and coach, explained, “Gorham Outdoors is a club that is looking to promote wellness physically, socially, and emotionally through the activities we organize. We provide fun and free opportunities for all members of our town to get outside and enjoy the outdoors. Our club makes every effort to bring these events to everyone regardless of age, race, gender, ethnic origin, and socioeconomic status.”

UPCOMING EVENTS:

  • SnowHole Biathlon, February 27
  • Fire Building & Safety w/ Bob Crowley, March 13
  • Mindfulness Moonlight Walk, March 19

Anyone who is interested can find more information involving these events by following the club on Facebook. Additionally, Gorham Outdoors is always looking for more volunteers. Potential volunteers can reach the club directly at gorhamoutdoors@gmail.com.
