The Greater Gorham Winter Market is back for another season, featuring seven new vendors, as well as four vendors returning from the previous winter season. Some of the vendors are based in Gorham, while the others are from nearby towns. The vendors offer all locally-made items, many of which are ideal for holiday gift giving, as well as for birthdays and other occasions.
The name was changed to Gorham Winter Market this year since for the first time the majority of the vendors do not sell human food items. Instead they have arts and crafts items, and body care products; one vendor makes custom dog treats.
The market is held in the Community Room of the Gorham Recreation Department, located in the same building as the Shaw Gym. It is held on the first and third Saturdays of each month from November through April, except for New Years Day.
Upcoming market dates for the entire season are December 4, December 18, January 15, February 5, February 19, March 5, March 19, April 2 and April 16. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
