Many events were held around Gorham to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center and our nation.

The Stephen Ward 9/11 Memorial 5K was held Saturday, September 11. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the loss of a brother, son, uncle, cousin, and friend. The Ward family greatly appreciates the generosity and support of the Gorham community. Pictured above, local firemen start the race.

The Gorham VFW Memorial Post 10879 held a short but sensitive remembrance on the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terror attack.

Gorham resident Betty Rines had a busy September 11th. After she played the National Anthem and Taps on her trumpet, she changed into her running outfit and ran in the Stephen Ward Memorial race.
