For the majority of people, COVID-19 has canceled numerous activities, events, and opportunities. It is no surprise that this year’s homecoming dance and football game will not be happening. With social distancing restrictions, there is really no way for these affairs to go on.

Even though Gorham High School can’t have a traditional homecoming, the GHS Student Council is finding a way to keep spirit alive. Ellie Perry, GHS secretary, explains that “From October 26 through the 30th, students are being encouraged to show their class pride by making a poster for any club, sport, and/or activity they are involved in or want to support at GHS.” It has also been suggested that students dress up for each specially themed day.

The class with the most poster submissions and dress-up day entries will be named the winner and will receive the spirit award.
