At a special meeting on April 30, the Town Council voted unanimously to move the Real Estate and Personal Property Tax due date of the second installment of the 2019-20 tax bill from May 15 to June 15 due to economic hardship caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

To minimize the risk of COVID-19 exposure to employees and the public, payments can be placed in the Book Drop at the Baxter Memorial Library (71 South Street) or sent by U.S. Mail to the Town of Gorham, attention Tax Collector (75 South Street, Suite 1). When paying by check, please include current phone number on the check so we can call about any discrepancies. No cash please.

Credit/Debit Card payment can be made online via the Maine PayPort Service or over the phone by calling the Town Clerk’s Office at 222-1670. Transactions over $40 via Maine PayPort, or over the phone with a Customer Service Clerk will be assessed a 2.5% service fee. All transactions that are $40 or less will be assessed a $1 service fee.

For more information, please visit the Town website or call the Town Clerk’s office.
