Top-notch freshman Stephen Connolly, who plays forward for the Rams, is off to a great start to the year. Connolly was named Rookie of the Month in Varsity Boys Ice Hockey on Jan. 13. On Jan. 11, Connolly recorded a hat trick v. Marshwood, scoring 2 goals in the 1st period and tallied another goal in the 3rd period. He also scored a hat trick recently in a game against Brunswick. He has 11 goals and 2 assists for 13 points in 9 games.
Connolly is described by Coach Sullivan as a dynamic player with excellent speed who creates a lot of problems for opponents. He is one of the team’s top producers and according to his coach a great running mate of sophomore teammate Landon Anctil. Congratulations to Stephen Connolly for being named Rookie of the Month. Best of luck to the ice hockey team in the latter part of the season and into playoffs.
