Mow’s Munchies food truck visited SAIL math students at Village School. Mrs. Karcanes’ 5th-grade math students are learning to “open” a food truck business. They have created business plans, calculate loan interest rates, use fractions in recipes, and add/subtract decimals.

Mow’s Munchies team shared their time and expertise with the students. Students asked questions, were given a tour, and made food. Co-owners Kate and Leanne were presented with a thank you card signed by the students shaped like a food truck.

It was a fantastic way to make math come alive to students and apply math to the real world.
