Administrative Assistant, Gorham School Dining Program

Gorham School Dining Services can “bearly” contain their excitement. In a recent promotion of the school breakfast program, students were entered into a raffle to win a stuffed bear.

Program director, Michael Sanborn’s Breakfast Bear Promotion brought not just a 38% increase in participation across the elementary schools, but more importantly, he brought smiles to all of these adorable faces.

One very happy mother wrote in to say, “Thank you so much for doing this. I have been trying to get my son to go to breakfast at school for over a year and he was too nervous to do it until he saw the bears. He loves school meals.”

Another parent commented, “She has always wished to have a gigantic bear and her wish came true. She talked about it every day for the month of March and despite thinking her chances were small, she won. Thank you.”

Michael Sanborn, along with his Gorham Dining Services Team, always strives to create delicious menus and serve nutritious food, but now they are also in the business of making dreams come true.
