The USM Art Department is hosting visiting Artist Barbara Sullivan, who will be giving a free public talk at 1 p.m. in Burnham Lounge, Robie Andrews Hall, Gorham. Simultaneously satirizing and celebrating everyday rituals such as eating, Barbara Sullivan's sculptural frescos give an ancient medium a new ironic twist. The Gorham Art Fair, Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Shaw Gym, features fine artisans and crafters from Gorham and the surrounding communities in an all-day art show and sale. The event is free and family-friendly, and it happens at the Shaw Gymnasium with paintings, jewelry, sculpture, photography, woodwork, textiles and more, all locally hand-made.


The Gorham Ecumenical Food Pantry is open every Thurs. at St. Anne's Church from 9-11 a.m. and the second Wednesday of each month from 5:30-7 p.m. Open to anyone in need of food from Gorham. Located in the building behind St. Anne's Church.

Blotter

Moove On!
Gray Road caller reported three cows standing in the middle of the road causing problems with traffic. Hamblen Road caller reported there were cows running down Route 202 toward Little Falls. Cummings Road caller wanted to speak with an officer regarding a protection order they had against their neighbor's cows as the cows were on their property.

Gray Road caller stated a cat, which was almost bald, had been hanging around their residence. 

Evergreen Drive caller reported that a cat had been sitting on their front porch for about a week and it looked as if it might be sick.

Hillview Road caller requested to speak to the Animal Control Officer regarding mice that were dying.

Pleasant Street caller wanted to talk to an officer regarding their 18 year-old daughter who had run away and whether or not parents had the right to go to the house they thought she was staying at to talk to her.

Ridgefield Drive caller reported that a truck had been parked in front of their condo for two weeks.
